Miscommunications & misinterpretations are very common in modern days. With technology blooming, more ways to communicate and express yourself, it is still difficult for people to express their tones and mood. What we often say on blogs, smses, emails, etc... are just words that always lead to misunderstandings. What Mr A said might not be what Ms B read.
There might be hidden meanings within the sentences that people would not notice because not everyone is good at catching hints. BUT there might be people who are so great at catching hints that they can read between the lines! Even when the person who wrote them, does not have any intention of hidding meaning in the sentences!
Nothing beats the ancient way of communication. Which is talking to people face to face. That, is the most effective way to bring the intended message across to the intended party. Of course, every things comes with pros and cons. It's never easy to say things that you're shy about, and things that you're not certain how the other will react.
examples for so are like how much you like someone or how you would wan to bring someone out to dinner.
